Who We Are As a Nation
Our country was founded by a group of dissidents feeling the pain of continued disenfranchisement by European monarchies and elitists that only saw the colonies as a source of income. These people came here to escape that position of being powerless.
This drove them to develop some rather independent ideals unheard of in the modern world. The Declaration of Independence was the rough draft of those very ideals. It basically said that all man had equal rights under the law which included life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The success of the Revolutionary War and the development of a Bill of Rights and a Constitution helped to codify the expressions of the Declaration of Independence through a republican democracy. We then became a threat to the monarchies of Europe.
We as a nation are not so much a nation as result of geography or family or tribes or genetic likes. We are a nation as a result of these ideals expressed in our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. In fact, we are quite diverse with the binding matter being those ideals.
It has taken us the entire course of this nation to more clearly guarantee rights to all humans and we are still working on issues to better address the needs of our people in the future with these ideals. Hence, it didn't happen over night.
The bottom line is that we are still a dangerous nation....not so much to Europe but to the dictatorships, continuing monarchies, authoritarian regimes, dogmatic theocracies, and caliphates. It was clearly evident in China when a democratic movement was brutally suppressed with the destruction of a likeness of the Statue of Liberty being destroyed by Chinese authorities. It is also the reason why the Ahmendinijads, the Chavez's and all the wannabe dictators of this world are yapping like little dogs at our heels. We threaten their power with ideals.
The above explains why we cannot shy away from our responsibilities in nations such as Iraq or Afghanistan or maybe now Iran, as they can be the seeds of new found freedoms for the oppressed in this region including Iran, Syria, N. Korea, China, and even Saudi Arabia as examples.
A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government. -- Thomas Jefferson
Xenotheonihilism
Definition: The act of marginalization or even the destruction of theologies different than those of the party perpetrating the destruction. The cause of most of the wars in man's history can be described in the above single word.
History: The most glaring example of this phenomenon occurred when Pharaoh Akhenaten introduced a form of monotheism called henotheism, where lesser gods were accepted, with Aten Ra or the sun god becoming the primary god of
Modern Examples: The xenotheonihilism of the secular progressive movement is both overt and covert in nature. It is overt in the nature that this movement seeks to remove any record of religious reference in the public forum, with the focus on the Judeo/Christian ethos. Their attempts, both successful and so far unsuccessful, to remove references to God in the Pledge of Allegiance, prayers in public gatherings, the removal of items considered as religious icons from public buildings, and even the reference to God on our legal tender, is very intense.
In a more covert action, more evil manner, the secular progressive movement has taken it upon themselves to marginalize the concepts of theology as a background ethos for the human being, or they have taken the concept of theological precedents to further their own political goals. Although some may deny such action, actions do speak louder than words. These actions are that of taking the concept of God out of the public spectrum to a point of ridicule of those who even keep that concept in their private lives, using Alexandra Pelosi’s work to make evangelists look foolish, as an example.

Xenotheonihilism, so simply, describes the above phenomenon in just a single word. Use it frequently and explain it. It should be a word in the vernacular. It should be a part of Websters Dictionary.

Being raised on a farm and still operating a farm and owning a commercial business, I understand the needs of both rural and urban citizens of Nebraska.
Unpresidential Leadership and Despotic Congress
President Bush said, "Bring it on." Obama said, "Go for it." Both are antagonistic statements in the context of their presentation.
That's where the comparison ends. Bush was antagonistic to people who wish to kill American citizens. Obama was antagonistic to good American citizens!
Obama's statement sadly bespeaks of his demeanor. He is engaged in a political WAR with over 50% of the American people. That is not a presidential demeanor but is the demeanor of a punk on the streets. As a lifelong Democrat, I am saddened and disappointed.
We are seeing the growth of despotism in our Congress today when they shut out the Republicans from the legislative process. Not only that, we were lied to about the health care bill by those supporting it. We are seeing an elitist mentality with Nancy Pelosi's statement about the astroturf movement and in her statement that "we need to pass the bill so we can find out what is in the bill." Unbelievable arrogance!
This has to stop! However, are we still within a civil repair of this nation?
